My name is Alexandra and I am the founder of Aimébène Fragrances .

As a Black woman living in Montreal, I know how difficult seasonal changes can be for our skin, but also for our mood. Aimébène was born from my desire to celebrate and enhance the beauty of dark skin, reviving its radiance, elegance, and that glowing tan we crave all year round, even in the depths of the coldest months. The name Aimébène is a fusion of the words " aimer " (to love) and " ébène " (ebony), an ode to all the warm, sun-kissed complexions. It also holds special personal significance, as my son's name is Eben.

Becoming a mother taught me how essential it is to carve out time for myself so I can fully care for others. Over time, the world of perfumery has become one of my greatest pleasures. This love for fragrances, combined with my desire to meet the specific needs of dark skin in a Nordic climate, inspired me to create oils whose scents evoke our roots, capable of transporting us, and accompanying us through each season with warmth, comfort, and confidence, without ever compromising our health or the environment.
