My name is Alexandra, and I am the founder of Aimébène Fragrances.

As a Black woman living in Montreal, I know how challenging seasonal changes can be for our skin and even for our mood. Aimébène was born from my desire to celebrate and elevate the beauty of deeper skin tones by restoring their radiance, elegance, and that sunkissed glow we seek all year long, even through the coldest months. The name “Aimébène” is a fusion of the words “Aimer” (To love) and “Ébène” (Ebony), an ode to all warm complexions shaped by the sun. It also holds a special place in my heart as my son’s name is Eben.

As a mother, I’ve learned how essential it is to carve out moments for ourselves in order to fully care for others. In this journey, the world of fragrance has become one of my greatest joys. This love for perfume inspired me to create products whose aromas echo our roots, take us on a journey and accompany us through every season with warmth, comfort, and confidence without compromising our health with harsh chemicals, silicones, mineral oils, or synthetic dyes. This is why our perfumed nourishing oils are crafted like true fragrances, with top, heart, and base notes.
